Even though its tough being in a fashion school, with major piles of endless work, i really enjoy doing what i love everyday.

Today, Chanel has touched me. I swear to god, she could be my fairy godmother. She is by far the most influential fashion icon in the world ! I was doing my research in the library, reading up her book was mind blowing.

Not only has she inspired me in SO many ways, i believe she is the MOTHER of all garments created today. It is THANKS to her that women are freed from the constraint pain-in-the-ass corsets. She define women with her timeless and chic little black dress- LBD.

Her suits are KICK ASS! She could literally babysit Christian Dior and Balenciaga with her work- it is such a phenomenon . If any woman should invest in anything in this world, it shall be either a Chanel bag, perfume (maybe.. cause i don’t really like the scent. its way too strong! nevertheless, GO FOR IT ! cause the scent, could last you for A DAY without fading- i kid you not !) or a Chanel suit/ dress.

Even though the bag itself is very heavy due to its chains, i find it meaningful. The use of chains in the bag, has meaning to it. Chanel is a power lady who NEVER STOPS WORKING.She works till the day she die,at the age of 87.

The chains are used to signify the power that she has to define fashion what it is today. It is also used to symbolize her upright and steely character- that she is in fact THE iron lady, ready to take on whatever the world throws at her. Another reason for using the chains in her suits is due to the simple fact that with the law of gravity, the heavy chains pulling the suit down right at the hem would create a better fit. Eventually the suit would fall nicer and neater on the wearer’s body. ( this is PHYSICS we’re talking about.. what ?!?!?!! )

She is the figure that i hope to be one day. *day dreams*

While i have the time to create this post, i should really get back to  my work..

Holly Fulton

Holly Fulton

One of the many designer that i admire.

Her work are so modern and fun. With the color clash combinations, her garments reminded me of art deco pieces.

Such an inspiration.

i would DIE for her accessories btw .

another designer, whose work might bear resemblance to Holly would be, Mary Katrantzou

big LOVE
